Privacy Policy

The short version

  • We only upload the photos you choose to edit with AI. On-device tools, such as Smooth and Enhance, never send your photo to us.
  • Uploaded photos are deleted from our servers and our AI providers within 72 hours after your result is delivered.
  • We never use your photos or results to train AI models, and we do not use face recognition to identify you.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • You can delete your uploads and your account at any time in the app.

1. Who we are

LINKOVA PTE LTD ("SlayCam," "we," "us"), is responsible for your personal information when you use the SlayCam app and our related websites and services (the "Service"). Questions about privacy: contact@linkova.net.

2. Information we collect

Photos and results. The photos you select or take for editing, and the images and videos we create from them. The app reads only the photos you pick; it does not scan your photo library.

Account information. If you sign in: your Apple, Google or email sign-in identifier, and the name and email address your provider shares with us. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email; we then receive a private relay address instead.

Google user data. If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive only your basic Google profile: your Google account ID, name and email address (the "openid", "profile" and "email" permissions). We do not ask for access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google data. We use this information only to create your SlayCam account, sign you in, and keep your subscription, Slaycoins and saved edits attached to that account. We store it on our servers for as long as your account is open and delete it within 30 days after you delete your account. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and we do not share it with anyone except the hosting provider that runs our servers, or where the law requires. You can remove SlayCam's access at any time in your Google Account settings. SlayCam's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Purchases and Slaycoins. Confirmation of subscriptions and Slaycoin purchases from Apple (product, date, status, renewal and refund events), plus your Slaycoin balance and history. We never receive your card or bank details.

Usage and device information. How you use the app (screens, features, errors and crashes), device model, operating system, language, time zone, approximate location derived from your IP address, app version, push notification token and app instance identifiers.

Advertising identifiers. If you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, our ad partners may receive your device's advertising ID.

Messages to us. What you send when you contact support or report a problem.

What we do not collect: your contacts, your precise GPS location, your full photo library, or payment card details.

3. Face data

SlayCam edits faces, so we explain this part separately and plainly.

  • On your phone: the app detects faces and facial points (for example, where your eyes and lips are) so edits land in the right place. This happens on your device and is not sent to us.
  • In the cloud: when you use an AI feature, your photo is sent to our AI providers to create your result. Their systems may create a temporary mathematical representation of facial features only to produce that result. It is not used to identify you, not kept after the job, and not shared or sold.
  • We do not create or keep face templates, face profiles or personal AI models of you, and we do not use face recognition.
  • Consent: before your first AI feature, the app asks for your consent to this processing. You can withdraw it at any time by not using AI features and deleting your uploads.
  • Retention: photos and anything derived from them are deleted within 72 hours after the job is delivered, and always within the limits set by biometric privacy laws such as those of Illinois, Texas and Washington.

4. How we use information

  • Edit your photos and deliver results. Information used: photos, results, device information. Legal basis: performance of our contract; your consent for face data.
  • Run your account, subscription and Slaycoin balance. Information used: account and purchase information. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Keep the Service safe: block misuse, fraud and prohibited content. Information used: usage and device information, request content. Legal basis: legitimate interests; legal obligations.
  • Improve the app with aggregated analytics. Information used: usage and device information. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent where required.
  • Show optional rewarded ads and measure them. Information used: advertising and device identifiers. Legal basis: consent where required.
  • Send renewal reminders, service notices and support replies. Information used: account information, messages to us. Legal basis: performance of our contract; legitimate interests.
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests. Information used: as required. Legal basis: legal obligation.

We never use your photos or results for model training, advertising profiles, or marketing without your separate opt-in consent.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only as described here, and our providers may use it only to provide services to us.

  • AI model providers: currently Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), ByteDance (Seedance) and Google (Gemini); the models we use may change as our needs change. Why: generate AI edits, presets and videos. Where: varies by provider.
  • Google Cloud (hosting). Why: store accounts and run our servers. Where: United States.
  • Analytics and crash reporting. Why: understand app usage and fix problems. Where: varies by provider.
  • Ad networks. Why: serve optional rewarded ads. Where: varies by provider.
  • Apple. Why: process App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple. If you ask Apple for a refund, we may tell Apple whether you used what you bought. Where: global.
  • Google. Why: verify your sign-in when you use Sign in with Google. Where: global.
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or a buyer of our business. Why: legal advice; legal requirements; protecting rights and safety; a merger or sale, with this policy continuing to apply. Where: as needed.

We do not sell personal information. If rewarded ads use your advertising ID for personalization, some US state laws treat that as "sharing" for targeted advertising; you can opt out as described in Section 9.

6. Ads and tracking

Ads in SlayCam appear only when you choose to watch one, and never for Pro subscribers. On iOS, we ask permission through App Tracking Transparency before any tracking; if you decline, ads are still available but are not personalized. We do not use your photos or results for advertising.

7. How long we keep information

  • Uploaded photos and anything derived from them: deleted within 72 hours after the result is delivered.
  • Results saved in your Edits: until you delete them or your account.
  • Account, subscription and Slaycoin records: while your account is open, then deleted within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons.
  • Usage and device data: up to 12 months, then deleted or aggregated.
  • Messages to support: up to 2 years.

8. International transfers

We are based in Singapore, and our providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use the safeguards applicable law requires, such as standard contractual clauses and encryption.

9. Your choices and rights

In the app: delete your uploads (Me → Clear my uploads), delete your account (Me → Account → Delete account), turn off notifications in your device settings, and change tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Deleting your account also deletes your Slaycoin balance and does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent at any time; and to opt out of targeted advertising. Email contact@linkova.net from the address linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity first. We respond within the time the law requires (for example, 45 days in California). You will not be treated differently for using your rights.

US state residents (including California, and other states with consumer privacy laws). In the last 12 months we collected these categories: identifiers (account and device identifiers), commercial information (purchases), internet or app activity (usage), approximate location (from IP address), and visual information (photos you choose to edit). We use them for the purposes in Section 4 and share them only as described in Section 5. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you. To opt out of targeted advertising, deny tracking permission or email contact@linkova.net. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our response.

EU and UK residents. SlayCam is not currently offered in the EU or the UK.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and short retention periods to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Children

SlayCam is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. AI presets and AI video are for users aged 18 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, email contact@linkova.net and we will delete their information.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app before they take effect and update the date at the top.
